Though the lead Government Security Institution in the crusade on drugs, the agency works closely with Sister Security Institutions. Drugs do not exist in isolation and as such cannot be curbed by any single entity or institution.
In the Gambia, DLEAG is proud of the close collaboration and partnership that exist between the Agency and Sister Security Institutions. This partnership has greatly help disrupt the activities of criminal dens bent on undermining the peace, stability and development of the country.
The Gambia Police Force (GPF), The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF), State Intelligence Services (SIS), the Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA), The Gambia Prison Services (GPS), the Gambia Immigration Department (GID) and the Gambia Fire and Rescue Services (GFRS) have all been extroverted in providing assistance to the Agency whenever the need arise.
Because of the transnational nature of drug trafficking and it relation to other forms of organized crimes, terrorism and terrorist financing and money laundry, international collaboration and partnership is equally pertinent. Building consensus, coordinated investigations, coordinated interdiction operations, anti money laundry initiatives, strengthening public institutions and foreign assistance.
